1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies (such as browser local storage or pixels) work in a comparable way. They let a site remember your actions and preferences, keep you signed in, protect against abuse, and — only with your consent — measure how the site is used.

2. Our legal basis

We place strictly necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure, functioning service (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) and, where they are required to deliver a service you request, on contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b)). All other cookies — analytics and advertising/measurement — are placed only on the basis of your prior consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules). Consent is optional, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it.

3. Categories of cookies we use

We group cookies into the following categories, matching the toggles in our cookie settings:

• Strictly necessary (always active): Required for the site and platform to work. These include your authentication/session cookie, security and anti-abuse cookies (including rate-limiting and a bot-protection challenge), and basic preference cookies such as your language and theme. They cannot be switched off and do not require consent.
• Statistics / Analytics (consent required): Help us understand aggregated, privacy-friendly usage and performance of our public site (for example via Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights). They are loaded only after you opt in and are off by default.
• Marketing / Measurement (consent required): Used to measure the effectiveness of our campaigns, such as conversion measurement on certain pages (for example via a Google advertising tag). They are loaded only after you opt in and are off by default. We do not use cookies to build advertising profiles or to sell your data.

We do not load social media tracking cookies on the public site, and we do not use cookies for automated decision-making that produces legal effects about you.

4. How to manage your choices

When you first visit our public site, a consent banner lets you accept or reject non-essential cookies and set your preferences per category. You can reopen these settings at any time using the Cookie Settings link in the website footer, and change or withdraw your consent there. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; if you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the site may stop working.

5. Third-party and international transfers

Some consent-based cookies are set by third-party providers acting as our processors (for example analytics and advertising-measurement providers). Where such a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses. 6. Retention

Your cookie consent choice is stored for up to 6 months, after which we will ask you again. Individual cookies have different lifetimes: session cookies are deleted when you close your browser, while persistent cookies remain for a defined period or until you delete them. Strictly necessary security and preference cookies are kept only as long as needed for their purpose.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the technologies we use or in the law. We will update the 'last updated' date above and, where appropriate, ask for your consent again.
